As a Health Coach, I try to educate and inspire people toward a healthy lifestyle. As a Spiritual Director, I help people become more aware of God's presence and movement in their lives. In this space, I aim to integrate both. 

There is so much confusion out there about Health. I hope some of what we talk about here will clear things up and help you move your health forward.

Health

End of Year Review

As the year winds down, it’s the perfect time to pause and ponder our personal health journeys. Change happens when we reflect and notice the habits and patterns we may have overlooked: how well we nourished ourselves, how consistently we moved our bodies, how much stress we were under, and how our overall health has shifted throughout the year.


It's a chance to look at the areas where we struggled, and how our daily choices supported or challenged our wellness goals. Did we lose weight, gain weight, or stay the same? Did we learn new ways to be healthy? Did we invite God into our health and wellness journey? What was meaningful and what needs to change next year? By taking an honest look back, we empower ourselves to make informed, intentional decisions for a healthier year ahead.


I have created a health review to help you reflect on the past year. It's a simple but powerful tool to help you see what worked and what didn't, and what you might want to focus on as you set fresh tools for the year ahead.

Spiritual Life

End of Year Spiritual Review

At the end of every year, I complete a spiritual review. It has been very helpful to reflect on God's work in my life, my growth, changes that have taken place, challenges, and practices that have shaped me. It's a wonderful way to look back over the year with spiritual eyes as we consider how we want to walk with God in the coming year.

Important ways to Nurture Your Spirit This Month:


• Alone time with God: Even five minutes of stillness, prayer, or scripture can anchor your whole day.


• Practice presence: Slow down enough to truly see and appreciate the people God has placed in your life.


• Acts of kindness: Bless someone in secret. Write a note. Reach out to someone alone. Let Christ’s love overflow from you.


• Linger in God's word. Lectio 365 is a great resource.


The Holidays can be very busy, but let's not miss important moments of connection, with God and with each other.


Weight Loss

Trading Guilt for Grace

The holidays can make healthy choices feel harder, but you don’t need perfection, just intention. Weight loss and healthy living are journeys of stewardship, patience, and self-compassion. God cares about your heart, your peace, and your health. We are not into rigid rules here at GoinStrong. Grace paves every path...all through the year.


Gentle, Realistic Holiday Tips:


• Enjoy your favorite foods with gratitude and mindfulness. One meal won’t derail you.


• Use the One-Plate Principle: Choose what you love, savor it slowly, and skip what you don’t like.


• Listen to your Hunger & Fullness: Stop eating at 70% full and don't let yourself get ravenous.


• Stay grounded with small habits: A short post-meal walk, limit sugary sweets, start the day with a planned breakfast and get lots of sleep.


• Ditch the all-or-nothing mindset. Make the next choice a wise one, and keep moving forward.


Prayer for the Journey:

Lord, help me pursue health with balance, joy, and self-control.

Lead me away from guilt and toward Your peace.
